    Kyle and Dawn Urban of St. Peter are the parents of a daughter born on May 2, 2012. She has been named Olivia Kay.
    She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 19½ inches long.
    Grandparents are Larry and Sue Urban of St. Peter, and Vickie West of Kinmundy.
    Baptism
    Dexten Monroe Lotz, infant son of Nathan and Jessica Lotz, was baptized on Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. His sponsors were Bryan Lotz, Garrett Bartels and Joshua Bartels.

    • The annual Kid’s Klub Fun Fair will be from 6-8 p.m. in the First Church of God S.H.E.D. Vans will not run. All kids in third grade and under must be accompanied by an adult (high school or older). It will be the last Kid’s Klub until school starts in the fall. There will be games, inflatables, face-painting, hair paint and food

    Divo and Pam Noschese of St. Peter are the parents of a son, Giovanni Dominic, born on April 24, 2012.
    He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He has a sister, Isabella, age 3.
    Grandparents are Rick and Ellen Dorr, and Mary Ellen Noschese.

    The melodic sounds of the wild birds have been so prevalent over other sounds, even over the I-70 road traffic, and we have enjoyed them so much. This weekend, as we worked outside, we noticed more little creatures joining the chorus

    The Scent of an Unwelcome Guest…
    …was detected in the early morning hours on the Homestead, unmistakably that of brother or sister skunk (on the polecat side of the family).
    While it didn’t hold the full-bloom odor of a disturbed critter, it certainly couldn’t be classified as an “aroma,” and it was strong enough to have served as the skunk’s personal calling card.

    Weekend Trip
    Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter spent the weekend with Mitch and Gretchen Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
    On Saturday evening, Ben, Amanda, Madison and Dru Eller of Jackson, Mo., joined them for dinner.
    The majority of the weekend was spent spoiling the newest addition to the family – 3-week-old Owen.

    Saturday evening worship attendance was 137. Sunday morning worship attendance was 94.
    The organist on Sunday was the Rev. Alan Holtz.

    All seven of the Fayette County Home and Community Education units were represented as the annual Get-Acquainted Day potluck, program and auction fundraiser was held Thursday, April 12, at the Golden Years building in Brownstown.
