    • The Town and Country Amateur Art Show and Professional Art Show at the Fayette County Museum, Vandalia, will have an opening critique at 7 p.m. In addition to the museum hours of 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., the Museum will be open from 6-9 p.m. on Friday.

  • CMN Days Roadblock Day

    Mayor Rick Gottman, right, signed a proclamation declaring this Saturday at Children's Miracle Network Roadblock Day.

    On Saturday, volunteers wil be accepting donations for the CMN. With Gottman are Franklin Terry III (center), an employee of Walmart and CMN volunteer, and his wife Jaynie, also a CMN volunteer.

    Save Our Children is a national drive for the United Pentecostal Church International Sunday School Division. With Gottman is Sally Emerick, Sunday school coordinator at First United Pentecostal Church in Vandalia.

    A graduation party was held at the home of Pastor and Roxanne Emrick of St. Peter on Friday, May 30, honoring their daughter, Clara Emrick, who graduated from South Central High School. Those in attendance were: Bob and Joann Carpenter, Richard and Bonnie Lader, Anna and Chris Eveland, Joseph and Carissa Emrick, and Dane and Belinda Harpster.
