The descendants of John Frank and Pearl (Leininger) Libell, and his sister, Isaac Noah and Lela Ellen (Libell) Linton, gathered in Vandalia City Park on Sunday, June 3.

The Barn Critters Doing Well…
…in spite of the hot, dry temperatures.
Smoky, the (adorable) little donkey, and his buddies, Lady, the mini-mare, and Sugarfoot, the little beautiful black stallion, do not seem to be bothered by the heat.
In the past, if they showed signs of being too hot, we put a fan in their window, which helped. However, it hasn’t been necessary yet this year.

The ExxonMobil Annuitants Club met on Thursday, May 31, at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia for its monthly meeting and luncheon.
The pledge of allegiance was followed with Brock Fisher giving the prayer before the meal. After the meal, President Dean Black welcomed everyone, including guests.
Elloise Black introduced to the group the guest speaker, Lynn Gartke, program director for the Center for Senior Renewal. Gartke gave an outline of all the services that they have to offer at the center.
