    Critter Corner
Josie is going with us now as we work at the new-to-us home, and is very quiet once she gets in the car and knows she is going with us. She has trouble getting up the steps sometimes, so I think when we build the deck and steps, we will put up a little ramp to help her. She goes directly to her little bed (her own choice) when she goes in and seems content just to be there with us.

    Smoky, the (Adorable) Donkey…
… has had a front-window view of all the comings and goings the last few weeks and, while he isn’t being neglected as far as food and water is concerned, he caught my attention one morning and looked at me with soulful, sad eyes. We just haven’t taken the time to pet and talk to him.
Bill does take his dog, Katy, to see him every day and they usually touch noses through the fence. But he likes attention from us Homestead humans, too.
