The Fayette County Farm Bureau will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. next Wednesday to reorganize the Fayette County Young Leaders group.
That meeting will be held in the basement of the Fayette County Farm Bureau building at 1125 Sunset Drive in Vandalia.
Young Leaders are those individuals of ages 18-35 who are involved in farming.
The Young Leaders group is a way for young farmers to interact with other farmers their age, share ideas and have a voice in the future of farming.
Anyone in Fayette County who is interested in learning more about or becoming involved with the Young Farmers group is invited to attend. Young Leader District 14 leader Alan Krasten will be on hand to answer questions.
The goals of the Young Leaders program are:
• Education and self-improvement.
• Promote a family-oriented farm lifestyle.
• Educate young farmers about government processes and involvement.
• Provide educational tools to improve net income.
• Provide a network of support for the young farmer.
