Wrestlers take 23rd at Princeton

Vandalia’s wrestling team had three individual placers at the Princeton Invitational Tournament, and finished 23rd as a team with 50 points.

Senior Zach Jackson had the highest finish, with sixth place, while sophomore Dalton Blankenship and senior Sean Newcomb each placed eighth.

Dakota was the team champion with 190 points.

Sophomore Ryne Lipsey recorded the fastest pin of his career, taking down Princeton’s Tyler Webster in 10 seconds in first-round action.
