This week's issue of The Leader-Union going to all households

Welcome to this special sample issue of The Leader-Union. If you’re not a regular subscriber, you may have been surprised to see the paper in your mailbox. We hope you enjoy it.
It’s all part of a periodic sampling program designed to get the newspaper into the hands of those who aren’t yet subscribers. To accomplish that, we’re sending this issue to every household in Fayette County.
“We’ve invested in this sampling because we want non-subscribers to see what they’re missing,” said Dave Bell, publisher. “We think it’s important for citizens to be informed about what’s going on in Fayette County – the news, the features, the sports and the advertising specials. And there’s no better way to do that than by reading The Leader-Union every week.”
Helping to bring this issue to you are our sampling sponsors – Hosick Motors, Dan Hecht Toyota and Bluff Equipment. We appreciate their partnership, and we encourage you to patronize these businesses. Look for their ads on the back of each section of today’s paper.
As an incentive to encourage non-subscribers to sign up for a subscription, the annual in-county subscription price has been reduced by $5 for this promotion. Now new subscribers can get one year (52 issues) of the paper for only $27 (a 30 percent savings off of the single-copy price). Or, if you prefer, a six-month subscription is only $15.
A subscription flyer is included in this issue and a similar ad is printed on page 2B. Fill out the subscription form and send it in today. The offer ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
“We work hard to create a quality community newspaper,” Bell said. “We want to expand the circle of readers who are more informed and effective citizens because they’re aware of events going on around them.”
