Wedding

Krista Suzanne Kukowski of Greenville and Capt. Adam Ward Cole of Vandalia were united in marriage at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at First Christian Church in Greenville, with Darryl Bolen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ty and Lisa Langham of Greenville, and the granddaughter of the late Bill and Elaine McKinney, and Don and Rosie Kukowski of Carlinville.
The groom is the son of Fred and Shirley Cole of Vandalia, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cole of Charleston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cleo R. Calvert of Westfield.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an Oleg Cassini designer gown. The gown was a one-shoulder, tulle ball dress with a sweetheart neckline, accented with lace appliques adorning the bodice and skirt and a cathedral length veil.
She carried a bouquet of fresh purple and orange calla lilies, pale green carnations and Bells of Ireland wrapped in ivory and pinned with pearls. It was fastened together with a portrait of her late sister, Allison Langham.
Kara Price of New Lenox, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Elizabeth Marti of Highland, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dodie Langham of Greenville, sister of the bride; Aly Boyda of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Adrienne Marcos of Las Vegas, Nev., friends of the bride; and Samantha Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo., friend of the groom.
The best man was Ben Schumacher of Denver, Colo., friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Wade Cole of Griffith, Ind., brother of the groom; and CPT Jason Williams of St. Louis, Mo., SSG Kyle Campbell of Evansville, Ind., CPT Brian Iarossi of Denver, Colo., and SFC James Ressel of Urbana, friends of the groom.
Ushers were Jason Sillman of Scottsdale, Ariz., friend of the bride, and CPT Jacob Ragsdale of Athens, friend of the groom.
Vocalists were Chad Warner and Nori Stone, friend of the bride, both of Greenville.
A military saber arch after the presentation of the couple welcomed the bride to the military family.
A dinner reception was held at Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, with a seven-piece orchestra band from St. Louis performing.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in radio-television from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from University of Illinois at Springfield.
The groom received a bachelor’s degree in history from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in diplomacy and international relations from Norwich University.
He is employed with Camp Lincoln and is commander of C Co. in Litchfield.
The couple honeymooned in Germany and Austria. They reside in Chatham.
