Blythe McKay Smith and Nathaniel Alan Bergstrom, both of Florissant, Mo., were united in marriage in a 3 p.m. ceremony on June 2, 2012, at North County Community Church in Hazelwood, Mo., with the Rev. Jimmie Montaigne officiating.
The bride, the daughter of Alan and Cindy Laramee of Vandalia, was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white tulle ball gown covered in champagne-colored lace, with a matching champagne sash around the waist and a white Vera Wang walking-length veil embedded with Swarovski crystals.
She carried a full bouquet of crimson roses, purple ranunculus, crimson peonies and red hypericum berries, all wrapped in a crimson-colored ribbon.
She had seven bridesmaids, including a matron of honor, five bridesmaids and a junior bridesmaid.
The bridesmaids wore tea-length dark plum dresses and antique broaches, and carried full bouquets of baby’s breath wrapped in champagne ribbons.
The groom is the son of Glen and Penny Bergstrom of Hazelwood, Mo.
He wore a tux with champagne-colored vest and tie, to match the bride, and plum-colored argyle socks.
The best man and his five groomsmen wore tuxes with plum-colored vests and ties, and champagne-colored argyle socks.
After the wedding, a reception was held at Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
The bride is a senior at Missouri Baptist University, with a major in English and a minor in public relations.
She currently works at MBU.
The groom graduated from Missouri Baptist University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in worship arts.
He is currently employed in the admissions office at MBU, and is worship leader at North County Community church.
The couple lives in Florissant, Mo.
