Mary Beth Riedle and David Adam Knoche, both of Alton, were united in marriage in a 3 p.m. ceremony on Nov. 19, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Shobonier, with the Revs. Doug Meyer and David Hoehler officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kent and Beth Riedle of Shobonier, and the granddaughter of George and Amy Meseke, and Alvin and Patricia Riedle.
She chose Lindsay Kramer as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Brittany Higginbotham, Meredith VonBehren, Kari McCarty, Kyla McGinnis and Kathryn Thomas.
The groom is the son of David and Libby Knoche of Alton.
He chose Adam Knoche as his best man. Groomsmens were Dustin Devault, Phillip Knoche, Wesley Hennings, Ben Quinn and Craig Montgomery.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Adam and Penelope Hinkle, niece and nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Matthew and Jacob Riedle.
The guest book attendant was Amanda Torbeck.
Organist was Kathy Bray, who also played for the bride’s parents’ wedding.
A reception was held at the Vandalia Moose Lodge, with DJ services by Complete Music and catering by Cygan Delaney of Highland.

The bride chose to wear her mother’s veil. She carried the handkerchief her grandmother, Patricia Riedle, carried 53 years ago, and a blue handkerchief belonging to the bride’s great-grandmother, the late Alice Lindauer.
The new couple was the third generation to use the cake knife. It was first used by the bride’s grandparents, George and Amy Meseke, 54 years ago, and then the bride’s parents, 28 years ago.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Vandalia Community High School and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
She is currently employed as an adult education instructor at Lewis and Clark Community College.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Alton High School and a 2005 graduate of Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing.
He is currently a branch manager with Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
The couple honeymooned in Mexico and resides in Alton.
