Wedding

Carol Ann Reuscher of Vandalia and Kyle McCollum of Charleston were united in marriage in a ceremony at 2 p.m. on July 9, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Peter Kolb officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Max and Susan Reuscher of Vandalia.
She chose a friend, Jenny Kleinschmidt of Beardstown, as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Erin Fore of Columbia, Mo., and Brianne Garner of Vandalia, friends of the bride.
Reagan Tapp, a niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
The groom is the son of Timothy and Rita McCollum of Charleston.
He chose a friend, A.J. Schubert of Charleston, as his best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew Bulla and Spencer Williams, both of Charleston and both a friend of the groom.
Ushers were: Daniel Reuscher of Vandalia, brother of the bride; Kevin Hall, Patrick Higelmire and Jeffrey Stumpf, all of Charleston and all a friend of the groom.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Keller Convention Center in Effingham.
The couple honeymooned in Charleston, S.C.
The bride is employed at Salem Community High School, and the groom is a student at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Law School.
