With the rehabilitation of one of its water towers completed and that tower ready for use, the city of Vandalia is back to its normal water storage capacity.
But, because of the ongoing hot and dry weather conditions, the city is continuing its voluntary water conservation order.
The city council on Monday night approved the final payment of $86,400 to Quality Assured Industrial Coatings of Alton for its work on the Thrill Hill water tower.
