Vandals win fourth straight, blowout Staunton

Vandalia won its fourth straight game Friday night, defeating conference foe Staunton, 76-45, improving to 8-17 on the season.
The Vandals got things going early with 33 first-half points, taking a 33-26 lead into intermission.
Vandalia continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 17-13 in the third.
In the fourth, Vandalia put the Bulldogs away, outscoring them 26-6 for a 31-point victory.  Nathan Casey and Richie Well led the way with 22 and 26, respectively.
Vandalia has won five straight, and six out of seven to help rebound from an 0-9 start to the season. It will close out the season with three more conference games against Southwestern, Roxana and Carlinville.
