Close to two months after moving most of its operations into a new home, the city has decided on a new name for its old home.
At the recommendation of Alderman Bret Brosman, the city council approved a new name for the building at 221 S. Fifth St. that has served as city hall for many decades.
The former city hall, which now only houses the police and fire departments, now is called the Public Safety Building, a name recommended by Brosman.
