Vandalia wrestlers defeat Civic Memorial; prepping for St. Thomas More Challenge

The Vandalia wrestling team defeated Civic Memorial last Thursday, 58-21, by recording five pins.

Junior Sean Newcomb had the fastest pin for the Vandals, with a 37-second defeat of Quintin Wade at 220 pounds. Sophomore C.J. Runkel was right behind with a 41-second pin of Zach Klocke at 145 pounds.

Senior Daniel Edwards (160), junior Zach Jackson (170) and freshman Trenton Kinworthy (182) also had pins for Vandalia.

The Vandals had two weeks between that dual meet and their next tournament, which is the St. Thomas More New Year's Challenge, next Thursday and Friday.
