A Vandalia man was found dead in a wooded area south of Vandalia late Monday morning.
Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen said on Tuesday morning that he believes that 22-year-old Justin Wyatt died from hypothermia sometime on Saturday. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday evening in Effingham.
Wyatt’s body was found near the intersection of county roads 800 North and 300 East. A large number of people including volunteers with the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency and area firefighters were involved in the search for Wyatt.
