Losing against rival Greenville could have been devastating for the Vandalia volleyball team’s confidence.
And after dropping the first set 25-19 on Tuesday night, a loss seemed to be lurking.
“I don’t think we were prepared,” coach Allison Brown said. “We were overcranked as far as excitement goes.”
Several Vandalia blocks and tips from that set were not hit with control, leading to easy Greenville points. But the Vandal squad recognized those miscues and made sure to not repeat them the rest of the night.
