Aaron L. Harre
Platoon Sgt. Aaron L, Harre of Ft. Drum in New York has returned home from Afghanistan.
He and his platoon were greeted by his wife, llanit, and three children: Danielle, Adam and Asher.
He has been awarded the Bronze Star for his actions and missions in Afghanistan this year.
His missions, fighting Al-Qaeda and Taliban, were in Northeast Afghanistan, near the Pakistan border.
He previously fought in Iraq, immediately after Sept. 11, 2001.
He was promoted from drill sergeant prior to his deployment to Afghanistan.
He has been in the Army for almost 17 years and previously was with the 101st Airborne out of Ft. Campbell, Ky.
He is the grandson of the late Howard and Emblem Harre; the son of Gary and Bonnie Harre, who both live in California; and he has a sister, Tara Jean, in San Diego.
