Two from Vandalia and two from Ramsey to represent area at MMA fights

Two men from Vandalia and two from Ramsey will be among the fighters participating in the Butler Brawl II mixed martial arts show at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Friday, June 20.

Vandalia’s Trevor Pyle and Jake Weischedel, and Ramsey’s James Harris and Gage Marston will represent the area at the event, which will feature 15 bouts during the Montgomery County Fair.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

During the event, a raffle will be held for a Smith and Wesson MP 22/15 rifle and a hand-crafted survival knife made by James Elam of Litchfield. Tickets will be $10 each or three for $20, and can be purchased in advance from Sportsman’s Choice in Litchfield or from any fair board member.

Weigh-in for the bouts will be held on Thursday, June 19, at 6 p.m. in the beer garden, and that will be the last time to purchase advance tickets.

Advance tickets are $20 for grandstand, $25 for smoking VIP bleachers and $500 for a table of 10. Tickets at the event will be $25 for the grandstand and $30 for the bleachers.
