Two men offer city 3rd water source

The Vandalia City Council is expected to act in two weeks on a proposal for a third water source for the city.
In presenting that proposal, two Vandalia men told a council committee that they not only offer another water source, but offer one that is cleaner and cheaper to distribute.
Walt Barenfanger and Jeff Beckman, partners in Kaskaskia Springs Water Co., made their third presentation to the council’s water and sewer committee on Monday, saying that they are ready to submit a firm proposal.
