Two face felony cannabis charges

Two Tennessee men were in custody at Fayette County Jail after being arrested on several felony cannabis charges on Tuesday.
According to jail records, Hieu D. Nguyen, 41, of Lakeland, Tenn., and Ricky T. Pham, 39, of Germantown, Tenn., were arrested by the Illinois State Police at milepost 136 on Interstate 70.
Each was charged with possession of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis, cannabis conspiracy, cannabis trafficking and manufacture or delivery of cannabis.
Later on Tuesday, the two men were charged in information filed by the office of Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison with manufacture or delivery of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis and possession of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis.
Bond for each was set at $2,000.
They were scheduled to make their first appearance in court with legal counsel on Wednesday.
Also arrested during the traffic stop was Michelle T. Vanderheiden, 24, of Nashville, Tenn. She was arrested on charges of possession of up to 2.5 grams of cannabis and possession of drug equipment. Her bond was set at $1,500.
