GILLESPIE - Double-doubles from Chase Woolsey and Michael Wells plus 20 points from Tim Ritchey propelled the Vandals in a fast-paced 76-60 South Central Conference win at Gillespie on Friday.
Woolsey had 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Wells had 16 points and 10 rebounds, in his first career double-double. Aaron Harter added 14 points.
The Vandals pulled out to a 42-25 halftime lead, but Gillespie battled back in the third period, coming out of the break with a more physical style that alowed the Miners to get back within six points at one time.
