Two arrested for bank robbery

A Springfield man is being held by federal authorities and a Springfield woman remains in Fayette County Jail after the couple was arrested for robbing First National Bank in Ramsey last Friday.

Fayette County States Attorney Stephen Friedel charged James Echols, 32, and Annette F. Michael-Jefferson, 45, with aggravated robbery after the two were apprehended a short time after allegedly taking money from the bank.
