Two arrested after Ramsey bank robbery

Two Springfield residents were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery for their alleged part in a robbery of First National Bank in Ramsey.

In a press release issued Friday evening, Sheriff Aaron Lay said that Jason Echols, 32, and Annette F. Michael Jefferson, 45, were arrested on the robbery charges.

Lay said his department, along with the Ramsey Police Department, responded at 11:45 a.m. on Friday to a report of a robbery at the bank.

Assisting those agencies in handling the incident were the Illinois State Police and Pana Police Department.
