Vandalia’s aldermen did not, as planned, discuss at last week’s meeting possible raises for city officials who are elected next spring, or the recently discussed idea of eliminating the city treasurer position.
But it did receive from the city’s legal counsel information on the treasurer issue.
The city council’s personnel, finance and insurance committee – at the request of Mayor Rick Gottman – met on June 25 to begin discussing possible raises for city officials who will be elected next spring.
