Thursday-1:25 p.m.---Ramsey man guilty of first-degree murder

A Ramsey man was found guilty on Thursday of first-degree murder at the conclusion of a 3 1/2-day jury trial in Fayette County Circuit Court.

Michael E. York, 29, will be sentenced on Oct. 24 on the crimes of first-degree murder, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and aggravated battery of a pregnant person.

The jury deliberated for about three hours before returning guilty verdicts on all three counts filed by Fayette County State's Attorney Stephen Friedel and his assistant, Matt Chancey.
