Beginning at 9 a.m., Vandalia will be looking to place some individuals on the all-conference team.

“Hannah (Blythe) has a chance to slip into the top two (in singles), but it all depends on what the other coaches do,” said coach Kevin Schroeder. “We have a shot in doubles, too.”

No team in the conference has been dominating, and Vandalia was 2-3 against conference foes in the regular season, twice beating Greenville and falling to Hillsboro twice and Roxana once.

The Lady Vandals moved their season record above .500 by beating Shelbyville, 9-0, on Tuesday.

It was the second win of the season against the Lady Rams, with the first coming in the season-opener as a 6-3 victory.

Blythe posted a 10-0 win at No. 1 singles, and seniors Emilie Britt and Jordan Boren each had 10-1 singles wins.

Rain began to fall during doubles play, making for some tough conditions, but Vandalia's teams were all able to get wins.

No. 1 Blythe/Karlee Brimberry and No. 3 Brritt/Boren each rallied from late deficits to win, 8-6.
