Ten split top prize at YMCA Grand Raffle

The Family YMCA of Fayette County held its annual Grand Raffle on Saturday evening at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.

This year’s theme was spring training and featured emcee Tim Summers (ex-coach and player), Bill Haller (retired American League umpire), Kevin and Maggie Childers performing “Who’s on First,” and Brian Stout as the auctioneer.
This year, the Family YMCA sold all of the 225 tickets very early.
The evening included a nacho bar, provided by The Copper Penny; ballpark food, prepared by Givens Meat Shop; and cupcakes arranged in the form of a ball park, prepared by Davis Redman).
In addition to the Grand Raffle, the event included entertainment and a live auction.
The final 10 left in the raffle decided to split the $10,000 grand prize, each receiving $1,000.
Those winners were Tom Gebhardt; Walt Pearson; Ann Fulk; Charlie and Brandi Bruno; McDonald’s employees; McKellar, Robertson, McCarty and Click Insurance; Luallen, Cearlock, Barth and Burnam; Fayette County Hospital; Midland States Bank; and Ernie & Tammy Chappel.
Other winners were: Audrey Fink ($200), Bill Foster ($25), FNB Trust Department ($50), Kirk Feller ($75), Kenny Montgomery ($100), Dane Feller ($125), Clayton and Brandi Gathe ($150), Field of Dreams ($175) and Randy Quick ($200).
