Talking Tourism

Two representatives of the new Tourism Bureau ILLINOISouth met with members of the Vandalia Tourism Committee and a group of Vandalia merchants last Thursday to talk about how the bureau can help the city and its merchants promote its special events and tourism attractions.

In the first photo, Marketing Manager Scott Winter (left) and Sales Manager Dan Krankeola (center) talk about how the Southwestern Illinois Tourism Bureau has been reorganized with the addition of nine counties, making it the largest tourism bureau in Illinois; Mayor Rick Gottman also participated in the presentation. In second photo, tourism committee member Dean Black looks over some of the promotional materials prepared by the bureau.
