Stine-Armstrong

Pamela Stine and Ryan Armstrong of Champaign were united in marriage on Sept. 4, 2010, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Washington, Ill., with Rev. John Bates officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gordon and Denise Stine of St. Elmo. Grandparents are Stanley and Grace Stine of St. Elmo, and Pauline and the late Edward DeVantier of Altamont.
The groom is the son of Robert and Rebecca Armstrong of Washington, Ill. Grandparents are Elmer and Dorothy Armstrong, and Gene and Shirley Hobbs, all of Washington, Ill.
The bride was given away by her father. She wore a Ruched ivory gown and carried a bouquet of blue roses and hydrangeas.
She chose Chelsea Belden of St. Elmo as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jamie Harwerth, Treasurer Island, Fla.; Melissa Chafefy, Springfield; Tamara Springer, sister of the bride, Kankakee; Laura Stine, sister-in-law of the bride, Lake Zurich.; and Tabitha Stine, sister-in-law of the bride, Homewood.
The groom chose Brandon Armstrong, brother of groom, as the best man. Groomsmen were Adam Armstrong, brother of the groom, Eureka; Zach Davis, Peoria; Nick Elven, St. Charles, Mo.; Michael Stine, brother of the bride, Lake Zurich; and Christopher Stine, brother of the bride, Homewood.
Music played on the piano was “Jesu, Joy of Men’s Desiring” and “Canon in D.”
Madyson Stine, niece of the bride was the flower girl, and Kaiden Stine, nephew of the bride was the ringbearer.
Adam Nevergall, St. Elmo and Ben Handelman of Champaign were the ushers.
A reception was held at the Gateway Building, on the Peoria Riverfront, from 5-11 p.m.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of St. Elmo High School and a 2008 graduate of Southern Illinois University. She is currently employed as a project coordinator for Wolfram Research Inc., Champaign.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Eureka High School and a 2007 graduate of SIU. He is currently employed as a news producer for WICD, ABC News Channel 15, Champaign.
