St. Elmo wins first-ever volleyball sectional

LEBANON - There was more than one time when it looked like St. Elmo's season was going to come to an end, but with strong serving from senior Heather Seibert and 17 kills from senior Savannah Feezel, the Lady Eagles on Thursday pushed past Lebanon, 16-25, 25-9, 25-22, to win a sectional championship.

The win gave St. Elmo its first-ever sectional championship in volleyball, and only the second for the school in any sport. On Saturday, the Lady Eagles travel to Valmeyer to take on Valmeyer in a super-sectional contest at 4 p.m.
