For the first time since Glenn Exton left the school, Vandalia's wrestlers defeated his O'Fallon team.

The Vandals won nine bouts during a marathon dual that lasted nearly three hours - including JV matches - to take the match, 34-20.

It was the final home match of the season, and all four seniors were victorious for the Vandals (24-5).

In girls basketball action, Ramsey fell to Dieterich, 89-59.

At the NTC Tournament in Altamont, Dieterich beat Beecher City and Altamont beat Stew-Stras. In Thursday's games, St. Elmo/Brownstown faces Windsor at 6:15 p.m., and St. Anthony faces Neoga at about 7:45 p.m.
