South Dakota mission trip
By Panzi Blackwell
Seven members of the First Baptist Church of Brownstown recently returned from a mission trip to Green Grass, S.D.
While there, they visited and worked on a small mission church, the Green Grass Baptist Church, which is located on the Cheyenne River Lakota Indian Reservation.
Their work included scraping, painting and repairing the small church, assisted by their Indian helper, Alvin Brewgier. Some members of the team also pulled weeds and cleaned the area around the church.
The mission team also visited chapels in White Horse and LaPlant, delivering school supplies for the children there.
Participating were: Ray Stafford, Dolores Stafford, Joyce Behrends, Deanna Kestner, Rodney Deal, Dan Carruthers and Debbie Carruthers.
