Sheriff’s Arrest Log-Oct. 7, 2010

• Kenneth D. McNish, 36, Alton, was arrested on Oct. 5 for failure to appear in court in Effingham and Montgomery counties. Bond was $5,500.
• Jerrod A. Long, 31, 1322 W. Edwards St., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 4 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was $5,000.
• A 17-year-old youth was arrested on Oct. 4 on charges of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property more than $300 and possession of tobacco by a minor. The youth was released on a notice to appear in court.
• David W. Barnes, 21, Fredericktown, Mo., was arrested on Oct. 4 on a charge of burglary. Bond was $10,000, and he was released on a personal recognizance bond.
• Sarah M. Groves, 22, RR 2, St. Elmo, was arrested on Oct. 4 on a charge of burglary. Bond was $10,000, and she was released on a personal recognizance bond.
• Charles M. Steiner, 28, 1122 N. Fourth St., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 4 for failure to appear in court on a felony charge. Bond was $50,000.
• Bo T. Blackwell, 18, 605 N. Rock Island Ave., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 3 on a charge of mob action. The charges were subsequently dropped.
• Ryan M. Kistler, 25, 531 S. Cypress St., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 3 on a charge of criminal trespass to land. Bond was $1,000.
• Tara G. Geiger, 22, RR 2, Vandalia, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass to land. Bond was $1,000.
• Jennifer E. Beesley, 30, RR 1, Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 3 for failure to appear in court in Effingham and Fayette counties. Bond was $13,500.
• Chad E. Tate, 18, 111 N. Walnut St., Farina, was arrested on Oct. 3 on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a notice to appear in court.
• Jarod S. Parker, 22, 300 E. Monroe St., Farina, was arrested on Oct. 3 on a charge of improper lane usage. Bond was $1,500, and he was released on a personal recognizance bond.
• Bret L. Smith, 48, RR 2, Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 3 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Bond was $3,000.
• Alvin O. Caras, 27, 2317 W. St. Clair, Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 2 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was $20,000, and he was turned over to the Illinois Department of Corrections on an IDOC warrant.
• Joshua E. Graves, 29, RR 2, Hagarstown, was arrested on Oct. 2 on a charge of battery. Bond was $1,000.
• Robbie M. Hendricks, 27, RR 1, Shobonier, was arrested on Oct. 2 on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Bond was $3,000.
• Melissa P. Workman, 37, 314 N. Kennedy Blvd., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 1 on a charge of criminal damage to property. Bond was $1,000.
• Robert L. Marshall, 36, 308 N. Fifth St., Vandalia, was arrested on Oct. 1 on an alleged probation violation/revocation. Bond was $5,000.
• Marko M. Taylor, 23, and Johnathan T. Funches, 23, both of Memphis, Tenn., were arrested on Oct. 1 on a charge of aggravated fleeing/eluding police. No bond amounts were listed.
• Johnathon S. Warner, 19, Altamont, was arrested on Sept. 30 on a charge of stalking. Bond was $25,000.
• Jeffrey A. Knott, 44, 817 W. Main St., Vandalia, was arrested on Sept. 30 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was $15,000.
• Ronnie G. Lewis, 57, RR 2, Brownstown, was arrested on Sept. 320 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Bond was $3,000.
• Edward J. Green, 58, RR 1, Vandalia, was arrested on Sept. 30 on charges of driving while his license is suspended or revoked, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt. Bond was $1,500.
• Richard J. Grotts, 38, RR 2, Vandalia, was arrested on Sept. 28 on a charge of driving while his license is suspended or revoked. Bond was $1,500.
