• Mary C. Smith, 26, 129 W. Main St., Vandalia, was arrested on Aug. 9 for failure to appear in court on a charge of theft. Bond was $1,000.
• Tabatha L. Sides, 35, 825 Sunset Drive, Vandalia, turned herself in on Aug. 8 on a small claims warrant. Bond was $200 cash.
• Courtney K. Swick, 29, 526½ S. Seventh St., Vandalia, was arrested on Aug. 8 on a charge of battery. Bond was $1,000.
• Zachary A. Pyle, 27, 102 W. Madison St., Vandalia, was arrested on Aug. 7 for failure to appear in court on a felony charge. Bond was $3,500.
