VJHS will hold Family Movie Night

The Vandalia Junior High School student council will host Family Movie Night in the school's gym this Friday.
"The Polar Express" will be shown at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is one non-perishable food item per person.
All children must be supervised by an adult, and all present will have a chance to win a copy of "The Polar Express" book or movie.
Concessions will be available, and Santa Claus will make an appearance.

Honor Chorus show is Saturday

The Vandalia Honor Chorus will perform "Santa's Holiday Hoedown –A Christmas Jamboree" at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Vandalia Elementary School gym.
The corcert is free and open to the public.

BJH_-HS band, chorus concert is Sunday

The Brownstown Junior High-High School band and choir will perform in concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the BHS gym.

BES Christmas program is Monday

Brownstown Elementary School will present its  Christmas program entitled "Radio XMAS" on Monday at 7 p.m in the Brownstown High School gym. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade will be presenting information about and singing well-known Christmas songs.

BHS class of 1965 will dedicate trees

The Brownstown High School class of 1965 will hold a dedication ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the baseball diamond at the elementary school.
The dedication ceremony is being held for three trees planted in memory of Melvin Willms and other deceased members of the class.
Family members of class members and the public are invited to attend.

Vandalia chorus concert is Sunday

The Vandalia Junior High School and Vandalia Community High School chorus students will present their Christmas concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday at First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
