The Vandalia Rotary Club recently hosted Ray E. Ropp of Normal, who is serving this year as the district governor for this part of Illinois. Ropp, left, a dairy farmer, and his wife, Carol, brought samples of cheese produced on their farm. An agriculture graduate of the University of Illinois, Ropp has been a 4-H leader for more than 40 years. He has served as president of his local Rotary Club, assistant district governor and has attended several international Rotary conventions. He and his wife have hosted exchange students and other visitors from more than 40 countries in their home.
