Reunions

Libell
The descendants of John Frank and Pearl (Leininger) Libell and his sister, Lela Ellen (Libell) Linton, met on June 5 at Vandalia City Park.
Thirty-four people attended, enjoying food, family and visiting.
Attending were: Don and Lorraine Libell, Fairview Heights; Brad Libell and Marilyn Thompson, St. Louis, Mo.; Nelson Sr. and Carolyn Libell, Nelson Libell Jr., Florissant, Mo.; Tim and Susan Alverson, Aaron and Catlin, Coffeen; Kris Alverson, Chatham; Janice (Libell-Meyer) Lillie, O’Fallon; Jeff and Ronda Meyer, Bingham; Josh Meyer, Smithton; Haley and Megan Meyer, Vandalia; Keith and Sally (Meyer) Zeisset, Maggie, Will and Mollie, Waterloo; Jill (Curran) McLain, Decatur; Darrell and Heather (McLain) Perry, Moweaqua; Dennis and Cindy Linton, Macon; Karen (Linton) Brown, Monticello; Steve and Kay (Feller) Ruch, Benton, Ark.; and Dave and Jackie (Schmitt) Stowe, and Jim Schmitt, Litchfield.
The next reunion will be the first Sunday in June 2017 at the Vandalia City Park.

Atwood
The Atwood family reunion will be held on Saturday, June 25, in Rogier Park in Vandalia.
A meal is at noon.
Family members and friends are invited to attend.

Halford
Descendants of the Halford family who settled in Christian and Fayette counties in the 1800s will have a family reunion on Saturday, June 25.
A potluck at noon on Saturday at the American Legion Hall, 429 E. Fifth St., will be followed by a tour of local cemeteries and a visit to the Fillmore Museum to view the works of the late Audrey (Halford) Probst.
Many out-of-town relatives will be researching in the area prior to and after the reunion.
