Shepard
Descendants of the late John Harlen and Mary Etta (Stone) Shepard gathered at Patoka Christian Church in Patoka on May 26 for a carry-in dinner.
Twenty-seven members of the family attended the reunion. Diane Arnold offered the blessing for the meal.
Family members present included: Merl and Betty (Shepard) Haynes of Vandalia; Doug and Diane Arnold of Odin; Mark and Jeanette Benoodt of O’Fallon, Mo.; Tim, Debra, Stacy, Shelly Glover and Austin of Silex, Mo.; Jenny and Zach Sexton of Sikeston, Mo.; Bobby, Cathy, Vinny, Sophia and Gianna Regazzi of St. Peters, Mo.; Brian, Mary, Craig, Lizzie and Adria Spade of Rockford; Tim and Connie Clevenz of Perryville, Mo.; and Ronnie and Mary Etta Frazier of Vandalia.
The afternoon was spent eating, visiting and reminiscing. After the celebration, family members went to Pratt Cemetery to decorate family gravesites.
Merl Haynes, 92, was the oldest present, and Ginanna Regazzi, 20 months, was the youngest in attendance.

Woolsey
The 19th annual Woolsey reunion was held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Vandalia Shrine Club, with 155 people in attendance.
Families from throughout the area, as well as California, Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Mississippi attended the event.
The oldest person present was Pauline Woolsey Mitchell, who is 96.
