Real Living VRE receives GGAR awards

Five realtors from Real Living Vandalia Real Estate were recognized for their performance in 2011 at a recent awards reception hosted by the Greater Gateway Association of Realtors.

Those realtors included Loy Staff, Pat Buscher, Nancy Gebke and Deb Etcheson.
The Illinois Association of Realtors President's Club awards are based on units or dollar volume. Loy Staff, Nancy Gebke & Deb Etcheson and Pat Buscher received the Bronze Award, which is based on 15 units or $1,000,000 or more in sales.
Candy Marshel was presented with a special award for the “Largest Individual Lot/Acreage Sale 2011” for the entire board.
“I was very excited to see the agents receive these awards this year," said Michel.
"All of the agents bettered their last year's sales, and even though not all received awards, all were deserving. Staff was just a sale away from the next award level. Etcheson reached the bronze award for the first time this year.
"Pat again achieved her award by providing excellent customer service and Nancy, who has been with me the longest, continues her award-winning service.
"Candy did a great job this year, and was so excited to win her board award. It was great to see her walk across the stage to receive it.
“I am very proud of all my agents. They all work hard at keeping current on the housing market trends – either by taking classes or by having speakers come to our monthly office meetings. Real estate is not something you can just rest on your laurels with; you have to keep working and changing to better serve your customers and clients. And we strive to do that better than anyone."
Michel said that some people have the perception that the market is down and that homes aren’t selling. Not so, she said.
"We found that not to be the case here last year," she said. "The smaller markets seem to be picking up steam, and 2012 is off and running ahead of last year already. I credit this to a nice selection of inventory and record low interest rates.”
