County board votes 10-2 not to put tax limitation law on ballot

After a lengthy discussion that included comments on both sides of the issue, the Fayette County Board voted almost unanimously not to put a tax issue on the ballot in November.
The board voted 10-2 on Tuesday not to put on the general election ballot a referendum on the state’s Property Tax Extension Limitation Law.
