Patoka School District Registration

The Patoka School District will hold registration Aug. 4-6.

Registration for students in grades kindergarten through eight will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon and from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, and from noon-6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Registration for students in grades 9-12 will be held from 8:30-noon and from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6.

A pre-kindergarten screening is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23. Parents are asked to call the district office, 432-5306, to make appointments. District officials will know in August whether the district will be able to offer pre-kindergarten instruction.

All fees and meal prices within the district are unchanged from last year.

For students who plan to participate in sports, there is a $20 sports fee due at registration.

For students new to the district, proof of residence is required.

Student requirements are as follows:

• Kindergarten – Physical exam, up-to-date immunizations, dental exam, vision exam and lead screening.

• Second grade – Dental exam.

• Sixth grade – Physical and dental exams.

• Ninth grade – Physical exam and Tdap immunization.

Physical education suits are required for students in grades 7-12; they will be available at the school for $15.

The first day of school is Friday, Aug. 20, from 8:25-11:30 a.m.
