No. 3 Vandals to face No. 6 Carterville at home on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Vandalia earned the No. 3 seed in the bottom bracket of the Class 3A state football playoffs, and will face sixth-seeded Carterville on Saturday at 2 p.m. at home in the first round.

Carterville finished the regular season with a 6-3 record and a 4-1 mark in the Southern Illinois River-to-River (Mississippi) Conference.

Greenville is the No. 1 team in Vandalia's quad, and Benton is No. 2.
