Logan Mahon • Pitcher • Gateway Grizzlies

•Mahon, a St. Elmo graduate, recently had his 2013 option exercised by the Gateway Grizzlies. Mahon was a key member of Gateway's bullpen in 2012, and will look to help the team return to the playoffs next season.

Taylor Parrish • Sophomore • Franklin

•Sept. 19 – Parrish, a Vandalia grad, played in fives sets of a 3-2 loss to Anderson. She had five kills, five digs and five service points during the season-opening Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match. On the season, Franklin is 5-9 (0-1 HCAC).

Kinzie Neilson • Freshman • Lincoln Land

•Sept. 21-22 – Neilson, a South Central graduate, helped Lincoln Land to the championships of the Harper College Invite. On Saturday, LLCC defeated Marshalltown, 3-0, and Illinois Valley College, 3-1, in the title match. On Friday, Neilson was strong in the serve-receive game to help LLCC beat Harper College, which was ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA Division 3 poll, 3-0. In the first game, Neilson had nine kills in 11 attacks (.818) and several key serves in a first-set comeback during a 3-0 win against Blackhawk College. On the season, Lincoln Land is 18-5.
•Sept. 19 – Neilson beat Illinois Central College, 3-0. She had 13 digs and two blocks in the match.

Katie Crain • Sophomore •Kaskaskia

•Crain, a South Central graduate, has helped lead Kaskaskia College's volleyball team to a 14-3 (3-1 Great Rivers Athletic Conference) start to the season.

Brooke Maxey • Sophomore • Kaskaskia

•Maxey, A St. Elmo graduate, has helped lead Kaskaskia College's volleyball team to a 14-3 (3-1 Great Rivers Athletic Conference) start to the season.
