Spencer Patton • Pitcher • Wilmington Blue Rocks
•July 11 – Patton, a South Central graduate, pitched two innings of relief to pick up the victory in a 3-2 win against Frederick. The Kansas City Royals prospect allowed one earned run on two hits and a walk, and struck out two in his outing for the Class A Advanced Blue Rocks. On the season, he is 5-1, with a 1.63 earned-run average, two saves and 68 strikeouts in 55 1/3 innings.
•July 8 – Patton pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief in an 8-7 win against Frederick. He allowed two earned runs on two hits and a walk, while striking out one.
Tanner Bushue • Pitcher • Tri-City ValleyCats
•July 11 – Bushue, a South Central graduate, started and earned the victory in a 1-0 win at Mahoning Valley. The Houston Astros prospect pitched six scoreless innings for the Class A Short-Season ValleyCats, allowing just two hits and striking out five. On the season, Bushue is 2-1, with a 2.38 earned-run average, and has struck out 18 batters in 22 2/3 innings.
Logan Mahon • Pitcher • Gateway Grizzlies
•July 13 – Mahon, a St. Elmo graduate, pitched one inning of relief in a 6-3 win against Evansville. The independent Frontier League player allowed one earned run on one hit and a walk, while striking out one. On the season, he has no decisions, with a 3.68 earned-run average, and four strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.
•July 12 – Mahon tossed one inning of scoreless relief during a 9-7 win against Evansville. He allowed one hit and a walk, but struck out a batter.
•July 11 – Mahon pitched one inning of relief in a 12-2 loss at River City. He allowed one earned run on two hits.
