Many athletes that spent their high school years in Fayette County have moved on to play for college or professional teams. Below are the athletes with recent results.

Tanner Bushue • Pitcher • Lexington Legends

•April 21 – Bushue, a South central graduate, lost his spot in the Lexington Legends' rotation after struggling in his first three starts of the season. During a 7-1 win against Kannapolis, Bushue pitched one inning in relief, striking out one and walking one. Through Tuesday, the Legends were 8-11.

Derek Harmeier • Freshman • Kaskaskia College

•April 14– Harmeier, a South Central graduate, pitched two innings during a 3-2 win against Olney Central. He allowed four hits, two runs (both earned) and one walk during the outing. On the season, he is 2-4, with a 4.17 earned-run average and 18 strikeouts. He has walked just five batters in 36 2/3 innings of work.

Abby Hill • Freshman • Greenville College

•April 20 – Hill, a St. Elmo graduate, participated in three throwing events at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Invitational in Terra Haute, Ind. She placed 10th in the discus throw (95 feet), 11th in the hammer throw (110 feet, 3 inches) and 12th in the javelin throw (77 feet, 3 inches). Greenville placed fifth as a team.

Paige Dodson • Junior • Greenville College

•April 20 – Dodson, a Vandalia graduate, was the third leg of Greenville's 4X400-meter relay team at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Invitational in Terra Haute, Ind. The relay placed fourth, with a time of 4:14.98, and Greenville placed fifth as a team at the meet.

Ann Githinji • Senior • Greenville College

•April 7 – Githinji, a South Central graduate, ran in two events at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Invitational in Terra Haute, Ind. She placed 13th in the 800-meter run, with a time of 2:25.38. She was also the second leg of the 4X400-meter relay team, which placed fourth in 4:14.98. As a team, Greenville placed fifth.
