Many athletes who spent their high school years in Fayette County have moved on to play for college or professional teams. Below are the athletes who recently made headlines.

Spencer Patton • Pitcher • Caneros de Los Mochis

•Oct. 18 – Patton, a South Central graduate, took the loss for the Caneros de Los Mochis in a 4-3 extra-inning loss to Navojoa in Caribbean Winter League action. Patton pitched two innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and a walk, while also striking out three. He is a Kansas City Royals prospect.
•Oct. 16 – Patton pitched a scoreless inning of relief in a 2-1 loss at Hermosillo. He struck out a batter in his outing.

Sierah Ruffner • Freshman • Greenville • Volleyball

•Oct. 22 – Ruffner, a Vandalia graduate, had seven kills, three digs, one ace, one solo block and two block assists during a 3-1 win against Westminster. GC is 20-4 (13-0 SLIAC).
•Oct. 18 – Ruffner had six kills, four digs, one solo block and one block assist during a 3-1 win against Spalding.

Amanda Walton • Senior • Bethel • Volleyball

•Oct. 19 – Walton, a Vandalia graduate, had five kills and an ace during a 3-0 win against Brewton-Parker.
•Oct. 18 – Walton had one kill during a 3-0 loss to the College of Coastal Georgia.

Amy Walton • Junior • Blackburn • Volleyball

•Oct. 17 – Walton, a Vandalia graduate, had 10 digs during a 3-0 loss to Fontbonne.

Kinzie Neilson • Sophomore • Lincoln Land • Volleyball

•Oct. 19 – Neilson, a South Central graduate, and the No. 10 Loggers finished second at the Mid-West Athletic Conference Tournament, losing the title match to No. 2-ranked Parkland. In that 3-1 loss, Neilson had three kills, five digs, a solo block and a block assist.
•Oct. 19 – Neilson had 10 digs, a kill, an ace and an assist during a 3-0 win against Danville Area Community College.
•Oct. 18 – Neilson had two kills and three digs during a 3-0 win against Lewis & Clark Community College.
•Oct. 18 – Neilson had 11 digs, three kills and two aces during a 3-0 win against Lincoln College.

Savannah Feezel • Frosh. • Kaskaskia • Volleyball

•Oct. 16 – Feezel, a St. Elmo graduate, had a kill during a 3-1 win against Southwestern Illinois College.
•Oct. 15 – Feezel had four solo blocks, three kills, one ace and one dig during a 3-0 win at Lewis & Clark Community College.

Perry Manley • Freshman • Kaskaskia • Volleyball

•Oct. 16 – Manley, a St. Elmo graduate, had seven kills, three digs and a solo block during a 3-1 win against Southwestern Illinois College.
•Oct. 15 – Manley had three kills, one ace, one assist and one dig during a 3-0 win at Lewis & Clark Community College.

Jennifer Potts • Freshman • Bowling • Central Missouri

•Oct. 12-13 – Potts, a Mulberry Grove graduate, helped lead No. 3-ranked Central Missouri's women's bowling team to second place at the Mid-States Invitational Tournament. Potts finished 15th individually, knocking down 1,671 pins for an average of 185.67. She had a high game of 227.
