Many athletes who spent their high school years in Fayette County have moved on to play for college or professional teams. Below are the athletes who recently made headlines.

Perry Manley • Sophomore • Kaskaskia • Volleyball

•Aug. 23 – Manley, a St. Elmo graduate, had four kills, two block assists and one solo block in Kaskaskia College's 3-0 win against John A. Logan College at Kankakee.
•Aug. 22 – Manley had one assist and one block assist in a 3-0 win against Malcolm X College.
•Aug. 22 – Manley had four kills, one ace, one solo block, one assist and one dig in a season-opening 3-0 win against Joliet Junior College.

Sierah Ruffner • Sophomore • Greenville • Volleyball

•Ruffner, a Vandalia graduate, returns to the court for Greenville College this weekend at Washington (Mo.) University. GC will face Washington University and Loras on Friday, and then will meet Nebraska-Wesleyan on Saturday. The home-opener is next Tuesday against Rose-Hulman.

Austyn Krueger • Sophomore • Millikin • Volleyball

•Krueger, a Vandalia graduate, returns to the court for Millikin University this weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Tournament. MU will face Carroll University and UWW on Friday, and then will meet Grinnell College and St. Norbert College on Saturday.
