Temple Baptist car wash set for July 13

The youth group at Temple Baptist Church will be holding a car wash from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 13.
The event will be held at the Head Start building (formerly King's Treasure), just west of Sunset Drive on Progress West Drive.
Funds will be used to pay for the church's youth to go to Rehoboth Church Camp.

 

Midwest Winds at First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church of Vandalia will host the Midwest Winds from Scott Air Force Base this Sunday at 2 p.m. The group is associated with the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America.
The concert is part of the church's celebration of the 185th anniversary of its founding. It was organized in 1828, making it the first organized church in Vandalia. Refreshments will follow the concert.

Revival planned at Liberty Christian

A revival is planned for July 21-24, at 7 p.m. nightly, at Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown.
Speaker for the revival will be David Upchurch, director of church ministries at Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln. Music will be led by Water To Wine, a band from St. Elmo.
A program for children will be held each night, also at 7 p.m.
Pie night will be held on Wednesday after the revival service.
Liberty Christian Church is located 5.5 miles north of Brownstown on College Street. For information, call the church at 347-2271.

Teachers to speak at Crown Point

Jeff and Maryann Stone, teachers at Jerusalem School in Israel, will speak at Crown Point Church this Sunday at 10 a.m.
The church is located seven miles south of Vandalia on Carlyle Road. For information, call the Rev. Pete Leduc at 339-1646.
