Kaskaskia College certified nursing assistant classes at the Vandalia Campus are going strong, with one group of students finishing in July, and another class enrolling for August.
Enrollment for the August-starting CNA class is still open.
The KC CNA program is designed to prepare students for the role of a CNA.
The CNA assists registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in providing daily care to patients in acute care settings, home health care settings and long-term care settings.
Graduates of the program are prepared to take the Illinois Department of Public Health Nursing Assistant Exam.
Those who pass become Certified Nursing Assistants.
The Vandalia CNA course will last 13 weeks, meeting two days per week. It will include classroom and laboratory instruction, and hands-on clinical experience, which may take place on days other than regular class meetings.
The fall CNA class in Vandalia is class number NAST 160 VA05D, and will begin on Aug. 19. For more information, or to enroll, contact Nichole Boulware, healthcare support programs coordinator, at 545-3243 or email@example.com, or the Vandalia Campus at 283-1780.
